How do you stay motivated?

I'm always looking for new ways to keep my momentum. It's so easy to fall back into an unhealthy lifestyle, so I do better staying on track if I constantly have something motivating me. I'm just curious how other people stay motivated. Do you reward yourself when you reach a goal, wear a goal bracelet, or anything like that?

  • I agree with all PPs. I think seeing progress is the thing that keeps me going the most.

    -Fitness challenges at work and here
    -Group classes
    -Myfitnesspal.com
    -FitBit (sends a weekly report on your activity and trends)

  • The way I feel motivates me. When I'm not keeping tabs on my eating and exercising and start to pudge up I tend to get very unhappy and cranky. I remind myself all the time that it's important to be healthy because if you don't have your health then what do you have, ya know?

    I also sign up for races for the summer wayyyy in advance. I'm already signed up for two triathlons for July and August and I signed up for the first one back in November. It forces me to go workout because I have a legitimate thing to work towards. 

    Also, my dream in life is to one of those people who is fit enough to pretty much indulge in anything on any given day and not have to worry about it because my body is efficient enough to handle it and I'll crush it in my next workout regardless.
