The person who made this account must be about 15 years old. The 6 simple rules one makes me want to smack someone. My friends (now ex) FI told her to get her nails done the night before he proposed. Needless to say it wasn't much of a surprise when he did.

This one is cracking me up for 2 reasons.

1. A secret photographer would not work at all because I have MAJOR paranoia, and frighteningly good hearing. I mean, who WOULDN'T freak out if you found someone hiding behind a bush taking pictures?

I've met 21 year old guys who date 15 year old girls. They are just as scummy and all around gross as you would think. Ever see a grown man drop his girlfriend off at high school? It's fucking creepy. To be fair though, the girls were not exactly a catch either. The formula was always super thoughtless, no life goals whatsoever teen with a blank expression and desperate need for attention, and super scummy gross douchebag that nobody with a shred of self-worth would date. Love had nothing to do with it. Although again to be fair, 15 year olds kinda have an excuse: They're 15. Everyone sucks at 15. Even if you're a smart, great 15 year old, you still suck compared to what you will be when you grow up and mature. The older guy is just taking advantage of their insecurity and desperate need for validation and is just flat out gross for that.
ETA: Actually she may have been 16.

15 and 21? No. Just no. I hooked up with a 22 year old guy when I was 15. Of course at the time, I was an idiot teenager and didn't realize how absolutely wrong it was. He slept with me and never talked to me again. Obviously now looking back at it as an adult, I can see how he manipulated me and used me. Fucking asshole.

Anyway, that girl needs to get a life.

GAHHH I somehow missed the 15/21 picture. Gross. I can deal with huge age differences once everyone involved is an adult. Not before.

Fi is 2.5 years older than me and we started dating when I was 15 and he was 17. When he turned 18 later that year, 15/18 seemed like a big deal!! At least to our parents. Apparently FMIL sat him down and said, "You know if you do *certain things* you are an ADULT and you can go to JAIL now, right?"

Also, I don't want FI to cry when I walk down the isle. Tearing up is cute, but full blown crying is what I believe sappy people do, and we are not sappy.

I saw this on Facebook and it is both sad and strange. Apparently the wife and mother passed away when the little girl was a baby. The newlyweds had taken all these photos in their new house while it was empty moving in. Then when it was empty moving out, the dad and the daughter re-enacted the photos. I'm not sure exactly why you would do that-- wouldn't it be painful and just emphasize the loss of your wife every time you look at the photos?

ETA: But I might have gotten something in my eye while looking at those photos. It does really underscore how much this poor guy's family has changed from what they must have hoped when they took those Pinterest-y pictures the first time around.

I feel bad for the little girl. She's probably too young to understand what's going on. I can only imagine how sad those pictures word make me feel when I got older. Plus the whole "replacing bride with daughter" bit is a tad creepy. I wonder if people would find it so sweet if it was a mom replacing groom with young son.
