Wedding Woes

Hello?

Way too quiet.  And way too cold here today.  I had to turn the heat back on last night.  Such BS.

I feel like I'm just running in place today...I'm ready for Friday.

DH got a call for another interview yesterday.  It's nice that the pressure is off for him to find something right now, but he should still keep looking.

We also are having thoughts (second, third, 20th) about selling the house and moving...because we don't know which side of town to move to.  But I want a new bigger house, damn it. Gah.

We are en fuego out here. Mostly North County, San Marcos has one at 700 acres with no containment. So far my side of town is holding, but there is smoke just to the south in Mexico, which is nerve wracking.

I have had a crappy week at work, but I am off today, will get a chance to regroup, and get at things again tomorrow. Need to get some ceu's done today.
  • Oh Jojo, I was hoping you'd come and update.  Glad you're OK for now.  Our friends in San Diego updated via FB and said they're OK, but I think their kids are home from school today.

    I'm in a funk.

-Got Bridesmaids dress, was a size too small, because it was petite, but I want petite because the length is better.  So I need to size up.  That coupled with the fact that I'm recovering from my fall on Saturday is making me whiny.  SUCK IT UP!

-H's gma being ill has really just brought a lot of stuff to head.  So, there might be some changes coming down the pipeline sooner than we planned.  Which means, new house?  New land?  Not sure, but it's stressing H out and in turn stressing me out.  *sigh*

-In good news---Tegaderm is the shit.  It's this thin plastic covering that adheres to scraped areas, allows for breathing, and air flow.  But it also helps with healing and is very flexible.  I lurve it.

  • I didn't get the promotion that I was interviewing for, so I'm a little sad about that. The silver lining is that the person who did get it is probably my closest work confidante, so I have a feeling we'll end up working together a lot because she's not as organized as I am, so maybe I can teach her some organization and she can take care of drama.

Tomorrow, I leave for Seattle, so I'm massively happy about that. It'll be nice to get away, even if it's just for like 48 hours.

  • Ugh Juche, I'm sorry.  I was rooting for you.

I'm glad you have a happy distraction and are going to get out of dodge.  I think that stuff really helps in these situations.

Juche-that's probably the best reaction I've EVER seen to not getting some sort of work promotion.  *kaddooos for you*  (that's "kudos" in case you didn't know)

She really deserves it. She has some major shortcomings, but her personality is great for the job, and I know that she'll create a very peaceful environment for all of us. I'm glad to be able to lend aid to her, and perhaps if we can get everyone on the same page, work will be easier.

Yeah @mrs.conn23, a lot of the schools are closed. San Diego Unified is, which means the Charter school my sister works at I'd as well, they follow that districts lead.

Chula Vista elementary and Jr/high schools are in since we don't have anything really near us. I am taking DD to day care since the contractor is still here working, and we will keep an eye on things. We just have today and tomorrow for the heat and winds, then things improve.
  • Good to know about tegaderm, @ftrMrs0.  DD1 has allergic reactions to something in every brand of bandaid I've tried (and it could even be the neosporin(s)).  I haven't found any combination of things that won't make her break out.

    I'm sorry Juche.

I've got this darn garage sale. Blergh

Today is 6let's last day of preschool.

  • Diva has finally gotten what he's wanted for the entire time I've been here, which is me picking up part of his caseload.  I really wanted to at least be here 5 years, so we'll see how long this keeps on keeping on.  It's not that I don't have time or ability, it's that I want limited as possible interaction with him.  I can't handle the bipolar drama.

Other than that, I'm blue today.  I know it's hormonal, but it doesn't mean I'm less blue.
  • @thejucheidea‌, I'm sorry :-(

Not much here other than I REALLY want this week done. Too much crap to deal with. Dreary, cool weather isn't helping.

I'm sorry to hear that @VarunaTT.  I know he's the bane of your existence where you are.  :(

And I'm sure this development only helps with your blue-ness/sarcasm
