help this bride

So my wedding is in 5 months. I have a wedoing planning binder but my anxiety is through the roof.

I still need to find a JOP, table clothes, finalize guest list, order invitations, make favors, find ceremony decorations, etc.....I'm beyond stressed. What are some ways to calm these nerves of plans not falling into place...

    Prioritize.
    1.  Find and book your officiant.  This is the most important thing on your list.
    2.  Order your invitations.  Post your wording on the invitation board for proofing before you order.
    3.  Start addressing your invitations.  No tacky computer labels!  Take them to the post office and have them weighed before buying stamps.  Mail them 8 weeks before the wedding.
    4.  You don't need favors. Skip them.
    5.  Have you talked to a florist yet?  They don't need much lead time.  You shouldn't need a lot of decorations, either.  Keep it simple.

I am assuming that you have ordered your dress and chosen your venue, yes?

What wedding guests really care about:

    1.  Their comfort - a seat for everyone, and at a comfortable temperature.
    2.  Good food and drink,  Alcohol is optional.
    3.  No gaps.
    4.  Music at a reasonable volume so they can talk.

Nobody really cares about decorations and frou-frou.

I agree with PP the big concern is an officiant.

Then, if you already have a venue, that should help you with the guest list, pricing and space wise.

Flowers can be done as late as 2 months out, so you have time.  Also,  a lot of florists help with decorations too, so ask them how much it would cost for that.  If you want to do it yourself, smartyhadaparty.com has cheap, good quality linens and party stuff.  I got my table runners from there.

Invite BMs over for wine and snacks and have a favor making party.  Favors aren't a must, so this shouldn't stress you out, and you have up to the wedding to make them.

As for stressing out, I am a huge stresser.  Lavender helps relieve stress, I spray it on my pillow at night if I can't sleep for stressing.  The stress relief line of aroma therapy from Bath and Body Works is really good.  They also have stress relief car scents.  Or use uplifting scents like orange, grapefruit, lemon, to put yourself in a better mood.
