including son in wedding

Hello all !
My fiance and I will be getting married in September of this year. Our son will be 3 at the time of our wedding. He will be the ring bearer but we're looking for ideas on how else to include him during the ceromony. I've googled this alot and can only find ideas in how to incorporate step-children. Any ideas would be much appreciated ! :)

Re: including son in wedding

  • He's going to be three. Being the RB is quite enough. Don't include him in any other way; he's too young.

If you're able to write your own vows, you can vow to continue to be good parents to your son.

  • I don't know why you would need him to do anything else.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

There really isn't any other way to "include" a three year old boy except as a ring bearer and to take photos with him.  That's really enough.

  • A wedding is a ceremony that unites two adults in marriage.  Children have no place in the vows.  Just include your son in lots of pictures.

  • I agree with PP that due to your son's age that being a RB and then in some photos is enough responsbility for him. If he was older.
