  Translation:  I am insecure and need a reason to hate you because I view you as a threat.  You are either physically more attractive than I am or I am super pissed that you get the engagement ring and wedding while my bf has not proposed (Extreme likelihood of insecurity due to relationship problems as well).  Either way I am a big baby and can't handle my own feelings of inadequacy so I take them out on someone who I know won't call me out on it because she's not around to hear.

  Please do not invite her OR your FI's friend with poor taste. That's a kind of cruelty that I like to believe we've all outgrown by the time we hit high school. It's not even high school mean-girliness; that is straight up middle school nasty. We forgive middle schoolers because they are mixed-up larvae who are far from their eventual metamorphoses into empathetic human beings, but grown-ass adults have NO excuse for this shit.

  Wow! What a psycho!! 

  When fiance's best man started dating someone new I instantly disliked her after one meeting. She learned to snowboard in one day (something I fail at after months of lessons), her hair never frizzes, she kayaks all summer because she's a teacher (while I'm stuck at work). I mentioned it to my best friend and she instantly said "quit being a jealous bitch and a hater" and she was right and I snapped out of it and think the girl is great.
