  Personally, I don't think jeans and boots are appropriate at any wedding.

  I don't think it is appropriate for a wedding but it would be equally inappropriate for a bride/groom to make a scene about it or to make the guests feel unwelcome or left out of pictures.

  My cousin showed up in jean shorts and work boots to my first one...  the only person to make a scene was his mother!  She made him leave.  I was kind of upset b/c I didn't even get to see him before it happened.  He had come straight from work and just wanted to make it in time.
