I received this e-mail this morning:
The Masters of Wisdom, together forming the Spiritual Hierarchy, are the
custodians of the Divine Plan for this planet. They have inspired all the
great human achievements, working from behind the scenes through their
disciples in every field of endeavor. The Masters guide and teach, but it
is humanity itself, responding of its own free will to their stimulus,
which creates each new civilization. Today, the Masters are returning to
the outer world as a group for the first time in countless millennia.
At the earliest possible moment, Maitreya will reveal his true identity.
Through a growing public response to his presence and ideas, he will be
invited to speak to the entire world. On this Day of Declaration, to be
seen worldwide via linked television networks, Maitreya will mentally
‘overshadow’ all of humanity simultaneously, and each of us will hear his
words telepathically in our own language. Even those who are not watching
Maitreya on television will have this experience. His energy of love will
enter the hearts of all, galvanizing humanity to save the world. At the
same time, hundreds of thousands of spontaneous healings will take place
throughout the world. In this way we will know that Maitreya is truly the
World Teacher for all humanity.
The radio and television networks of the world will be linked up, and he
will make his appeal, his call, to mankind. By mentally overshadowing all
mankind simultaneously, he will come into telepathic rapport with all
humanity everywhere, and we shall hear his words silently entering our
minds, in our own language. We in the United Kingdom shall hear him in
English, the French in French, the Russians in Russian, and so on. It is in
this way that we shall know that he is truly the Christ. Thus will be
repeated, only now on a world scale, what happened at Pentecost; and in
celebration of this event, Pentecost will become one of the major festivals
of the new world religion which the Christ will eventually inaugurate. Our
response to his call will determine the future of the world.
And there are apparently meditation groups meeting this Thursday, about a block
from my lab. I don't know who Maitreya is, how his/her followers got my e-mail
address, or how they must have known I watched that Ancient Aliens marathon
last weekend, but this seems totally legit, right?
