Yes, even though they obviously know they're in the wedding I think it would still be nice for them to get an actual invite. They're the most honored of your guests so it only seems right to treat them as so
Yes. Anyone that you want to attend your wedding (even those included in the actual ceremony) should receive an invite. You need accurate headcounts and also an accurate count for meals if you are having a plated dinner with choices.
Yes. Wedding party members and immediate family members get invitations just like all the other guests, because they are also guests. (They are VIP guests.)
For a wedding I was in, I never got an invitation. I had no information on where the church was, when the ceremony and reception would be, or the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. It was immensely frustrating. Please send invitations to the bridal party.
I'm sending invites to the wedding party. It's fun to get mail. My mom will probably just take hers (after addressing everyone elses) like she did with her save the date. She said it was to save me postage but I think she just felt weird about getting it in the mail when she addressed it.
Please invite the wedding party. I was a bridesmaid once and never received an invitation. It was a small wedding, but they did send invites out to some people.... I will be sending out invites to my wedding party!
as a spouse of a WP member I appreciate invitations. DH is not the best at giving me details.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
I sent an invitation to my officiant and her husband. I've never heard of sending formal invites to other vendors. Most of them will sign contracts with you that have all the details, such as location and time, included in them already.
aren't you also supposed to send invites to the photographer/DJ/other vendors for headcount and so they know location ect.? or is this not true. . . .
No, you give them that information during one of the many conversations you will have with them. You don't need them to RSVP for the headcount either because you have a contract that obligates them to attend. The only thing you might need from them is a meal choice. That's easy enough to get.
