Getting picked up to leave?

Just curious as to what everyone thinks. My FH and I will be getting picked up after our reception & driven to our hotel. I reserved a town car from a local limo company. Our reception ends at 10. What time should I have the driver pick us up? For some reason I was thinking 10:30 to allow for us to gather our things. But now Im not sure if someone whether its my parents or my grooms parents or someone from the bridal party should grab anything we need to take.

    If your reception ends at 10, I'd have the limo driver pick you up at 10.15 or so.

    Unless someone offers, you really can't ask someone to pick up things from the reception -- that's on you and your DH (although my mother insisted on taking things like our toasting flutes for us.)

    My venue had all our stuff packed up & ready to go for us at the time our reception ended. I would say have the driver there at 10 pm and have either venue staff takes your gifts & loads them to the car or a family/bridal party member. Or if you don't want to deal with the gifts that night when you get to hotel, ask someone you trust to be responsible for taking gifts/cards home & arrange a time to pick up the next day or after you return from honeymoon.

    Now if you decorations & stuff to take down, that's a different story. Then you need to allow time for that.

    10:15pm is my vote if you have to do anything after the wedding (like take things down or pack them up)
