Peacock themed wedding and bridesmaid dresses

Hello!
We are doing a peacock themed wedding, just want some opinions. I really want my bridesmaids to wear purple but Im not sure that fits with the peacock theme. What do you ladies think?

    DD did a peacock themed wedding. It was beautiful.  The BMs were in eggplant and the GMs wore the blue.  The BMs all had a peacock feather in their hair and had feathers in their bouquets.  The GMs had a feather in their bouts.  The decor was primarily navy tableclothes with navy napkins and silver charger plates..  Here are some pics:

    I'm having a 1920s loosely themed wedding in November, with a peacock motif. The colors are dark purple (I believe the bridesmaids' dresses are Bill Levkoff's "eggplant"), hunter green and a neutral. The bouqets will include "black" Schwartzwalder calla lillies. I've sat down with the florist, a swatch from the dresses and a peacock feather and it looks fabulous. Absolutely can be done.

    I just want to say I recently saw a dress in a store that was actually supposed to be a peacock. It was like that swan dress Bjork wore, but a peacock. I know that's not helpful, but I had to share.

    We're doing peacock! I have the girls each in a different color dress from david's bridal:
    Jade, Peacock, Lapis, Horizon, and Marine.


    Purple totally works. :)
