So I can't decide if I like these invitations or if they're a little too loud. So..what do you all think?

Wow, those are very pink! And I love pink (see: pink wedding dress). Also, design-wise, there's a whole lot going on.

But really, my opinion doesn't matter. If you and your FW love them, go for it!

I am not a fan of the font used for the names. It really doesn't go with the script font (kind of a complete 180 in design) and it makes it hard to read the names.

And I don't mind the pink and I can't recall what your wedding vision is or other decor but if I got this invite then I would be expecting a crazy, over the top wedding in a night club.

It's an off beat art gallery...but otherwise yeah...crazy...over the top-ish. No real color scheme other then "We like these colors!" rock and roll-ish vibe.

I love the pink, but completely agree on the font. It is just too much with everything else going on and I don't know where I am supposed to look. I would personally just do black font and larger letters for the names. Let the design stand out on its own. Hope that helps!

I am not at all a fan of that font, I'm sorry. It just doesn't fit with the rest of the design elements.

Also, there is a crap-ton of elements going on there, and it looks REALLY busy to me.

Plusalso, I'm not a fan of pink (although that's neither here nor there), but I agree with PPs who say it would make me expect something very clubby, OTT, wild -- not formal. But if that's your vibe, then go for it!

I disagree with shrekspeare. Either one of those are perfect for a rock n' roll wedding.

I like the 2nd one better because it's easier to read and less "busy". Which probably means that your guests will be more likely to process the information on the invitation and less likely to have sensory overload. And I like purple 1,000,000x better than pink!

But between the two you posted I prefer the pink over the purple.

@shrekspeare, we aren't trying to stay traditional at all. I like that invitation, but I think FI will nix it as being "too creepy", which kind of sucks.

No, which sucks, I played with it but font stays the same. We can order custom though...might go that route.

FI wanted me to design them myself but...no, just...way too much work for me.

Fuck no! We love sugar skulls! FI calls them "happy skulls" and I just call them awesome because I love Day of the Dead. We are in fact getting married on Day of the Dead (and yes, I know the real words in Spanish but I have a hard enough time typing in English), which was just a happy coincidence.

I like both invites, but not the art deco font on the first one. Any way you can switch the design to red or are you stuck with the colors they give you?

The pink is very bright.

I can understand wanting to be offbeat...but the particular font for the names in that invitation really just doesn't work with the rest of it. I don't think you have to use a "traditional" font-but that one just doesn't work aesthetically.

Aside from that, no other problems for me!

That's ok, you can sit by the pool, I make a damn good margarita. The trick is to use margarita mix with alcohol in it, and then add more alcohol.

I like the purple one the best out of all of them. I would probably make the gingham layer transparent in photoshop, but that's about it.

I love the purple invitations!

I'm also a big fan of the Day of the Dead and tattoo invitations. Basically, I love them all except the pink ones at top and that's only because of the font.

I'll trade you a sugar skull for a margarita....!

The tattoo ones are SOO awesome, but I really like the pink ones too. The font is a little over the top, reminds me of the DiCaprio Great Gatsby movie for some reason, so yes it would definitely signify a big party. I feel the purple ones are a different tone, probably because of the gingham.
