Wedding Invitations & Paper

Tracking down RSVP's

Need some advice ladies! My RSVP due date has passed and we are only waiting on 4 responses. One in particular is my cousin. I don't have his phone number so I sent him a message on Facebook last summer to get his address. He never responded, so I sent the invite to his mom's house, who passed it on. So i sent him a facebook message on Friday asking if he's coming to the wedding and he read it but never responded. He's been on Facebook since then because it has come up on my news feed that he's commented on things etc. What would you guys do? Should I send him another message saying hey if I don't hear from you by x date, I will mark you down as a no? I have tried asking his family but I'm getting nowhere. I'm getting the impression he has no interest in coming which is fine, but tell me!!!! Sorry I'm on my iPad and paragraphs never work :)

Get his phone number from his mother and call him.

And to make paragraphs on ipad, click the icon that looks like a piece of paper with red arrows on it.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Get his phone number.  Many people do not respond to FB messages even though they post on FB. Actually I think they are some of the worse forms of communication.

My RSVP's for my dad's party was friday.  I had a couple of cousins who didn't RSVP and I also didn't have their number.   I called up my Aunts to ask for their number.   Pretty simple and easy actually.

Just happen one cousin was on his way to his mom's anyway.  He promptly called me and said his mom yelled out him for not respoding.   Funny thing is that cousin is a grandfather.  Just goes to show you are not too old to be scolded by your mom.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Get his phone number, call him, and let him know that you need to know by a specified date whether or not he is coming and if you haven't received his response by then you will assume he is not and plan accordingly.
