Villa Woodbine

Hi Brides! I am attempting to pick my venue location for my wedding in Miami next December and I am leaning towards Villa Woodbine, with one reservation. My fiance and I are looking to have a band and the setup at Woodbine, given that the band must setup in the house and yet the dance floor is outside, seems less than ideal and has me worried that it will take away from the first dances and overall dancing. Have any of you been to a wedding here, had your own wedding here or looked into Villa Woodbine as a possible venue? If so, any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

    I have never been to a wedding there but I have seem some wedding pictures from there and the weddings look beautiful. I think my concern would reside on the amount of space left for everything you need once the band has their space to set up. If the band takes a good portion of the back of the house then I would continue looking for another location. There is a very nice location and I am pretty certaind it is bigger than Villa Woolbine and it's Villa 221. The outside is huge and won't take away from your first dance.

    If you liek that setting you shoul dalso check out Thalatta Estate.  There is plenty of space for everyting you need as the house sits on 4 acres.  let us know how it goes!!

    Hi Anree,

     

    I am having a similar concern - although I am using a DJ, but I still am worried that the dance floor being separate from the seating will detract from first dance and make the party seem less cohesive as whole.  Can you let me know what venue you ended up going with and how it turned out?
