DD1 just asked me if she could have a surprise birthday party this year.

When I asked her what she meant, she said "You know, when I wake up, I'll come out in the living room and everyone will be hiding with the lights off and they'll jump up and yell surprise at me.  That would be cool."

Holy hell.

    Congratulations. Your daughter won the internet for blowing every Pinterest idea on "surprise parties" completely out of the universe. :-)
