Monday Check In! PIP Encouraged!

Hey ladies!  How were your weekends?  Get anything completed WR/NWR?

I had my second hair trial on Friday after work & LOVE the way it turned out!  Some pics!  = )









Yay, so much happier with it now!  = )

We also completed our burlap table skirting for our head table, pie table & gift table!
 


This was before we decided to iron the part down, that's on the top of the table.  Also, it's on a round & will be on a banquet... But you get the idea!  = )

I dropped off our ceremony song & reading information sheets, the 2 copies of our marriage license & our payment for the wedding to the church on Friday.

Had my last shower on Saturday morning, for FI's side of the family.  It was great & we got some amazing things.  Got the thank you cards done over the weekend & dropped them in the mail yesterday!

And we went to finalize our food for the wedding & should be ordering it soon.

Also, as some of you know, FI has been trying to get into law enforcement since last October.  Last week he received a call & a department wants to background him, which means that he's being considered for a position!!!  = )  As long as his background & any other interviews he has to do go well, he'll get a job offer!  It's so exciting & scary & stressful!

Agh... And to top it off, only 25 days until the wedding!!  = )

    Semi-WR... we finished 98% of our wedding thank you notes, stamped-em up and got them shipped off in the mail Saturday morning.  Rather than going to ultimate frisbee with our friends on Friday night, we had resolved to finish them up rather than go out... so we powered through to 11:30 and got them done.  Just a few more people to go whose addresses had changed since our wedding, so we still have to get those from them for the remaining thank yous.  Feels so good to finally get those all done!

    I want to PIP but for some reason the pics didn't upload to my computer this weekend. :(

    I had my first shower on Saturday morning in my hometown, and we had a really good turnout, and no games! I hate games and after I thanked the hostesses for not having games everyone cheered so I am assuming there were quite a few that feel like I do haha. Also, I only got one lace doily and a couple random crystal pieces so I considered that a success!

    Oh, and a month ago I asked my dad to make me a few of these wall units because I didn't want to pay 150$ at Pottery barn:


    So this is what he did, and gave it to me for a shower gift:


    He did an awesome job! We just put them up last night so nothing is on them yet, but they look so nice!

    My mom also has been working on making my veil from hers from 1971. I tried it on this weekend to make sure it sat right and stayed in my hair. She still needs to edge it in ribbon and shape it a bit more but it looked really good so far.

    Oh yeah- and I won bingo on Friday night, so I got a few hundred extra bucks which was wonderful. I am tempted to blow it on fun stuff, but I will just keep it for now:)

    WR: We had our taste testing and decided our menu! We also went to MUDDY PAWS!! Tami was so great and we decided to book her as well! :) I'm so excited because every cheesecake we tried was amazing! I also picked out some songs we will have for the ceremony.

    NWR: FI and I went to Ikea this weekend and picked out a table and bedframe, we're going back this fall or winter to buy them! :) I loooove Ikea!

    WR: 
    - Sealed 50% of the envelopes for the invites.  
    - Sent my Mom that last 5 addresses so she can address them and she is mailing them to me today.  We will get those sent out on Friday or Saturday.
    - I had FI start selecting music for the reception with our online music planner.
    - Sent our ceremony music selection or our musician.
    - Received my earrings for the wedding.  I will try them on in a couple weeks at another dress fitting I have planned.

    NWR:
    - Almost finished staining the deck. Boy is that a pain.
    - Bought the face mask a couple of you recommended @ Walgreens.  I used it last night...let's hope it works. (How often do you do it?)

    Can't wait to get more done this week so those invites can sent out!!!!

    Started gathering addresses of our family and friends for STDs and Invites.
    Created wedding website for family and friends.
    Made small label on VP to put on STD showing the web address for our wedding website.

    NWR:

    Went to the gym with one of my good friends!

    NWR: Went to Best Buy last night and got a sweet deal on a TV for our living room! So excited, we get to pick it up tonight! Oh and our new HD receiver comes on Saturday with the Sunday Ticket! We're all ready for Football!!!

    I was wondering the same thing! 

    I used the mask on Friday night & my skin felt great afterwards, but then I broke out on Saturday!  Although, that could totally be from stress too, since we have so much going on!  Hoping it goes away soon!

    WR:  Nothing much, but I got these forks in the mail. I think they are so cute!






    NWR:  A girlfriend and I went back to my hometown for the weekend! We had a great time spending time with my family and getting spoiled by my mom.  We had DQ, an amazing breakfast made, my mom took us shopping and we went out for margaritas and mexican for lunch! Had an amazing time.

    WR: My wedding shoes came in! YAY!! I also got a TON of wedding stuff from a friend who's wedding I DOC'ed this weekend. I'm talking thousands of twinkle lights, about 60 vases, and 80 votive holders. Very excited to figure out where to use it all!
