As of yesterday, we have recieved 25% of our RSVPs. (9 days left!)
On our RSVPs, we have a place where the invited guests can select whether they are attending the welcome dinner (Fri night) and/or the wedding ceremony & reception. We got an invite in today that the invited guest (FI's parents....) did not select which "event" they are coming to, so FI has to call his mom and find out. Hopefully we do not get many guests that leave that blank.
On a funny note, FI calls his grandmother "Mamo" - on our response card I put a traditional "M" and then a line for the guest to write their name(s) in. FI's grandmother's card looked like M_amo. I got a laugh out of that. (We did invite her using her legal name...)
So far yesterday, we:
- paid off my dress
- had first fitting (final fitting 9/24)
- paid for cake
- bought some of the cake decorations (still need to find a topper, last time i looked the one we wanted was broken, and now it was out of stock... oyy)
- bought a card box (50% off sale at Hobby Lobby! Wooo!)
Other things we have done this week:
- finalized reception menu (still have a couple changes to make, but I am waiting for the $$$ from my parents)
- ordered FG dress
- Got FI's suit fitted
- Got RB suit fitted
- ordered MoH/BM gifts
FG dress was too short, so I am double-checking her measurements before we order next size up. (*grumble* shipping charges *grumble*)
Today we are off to go check prices on beer/liquor and finish moving/cleaning out of our old place. I just wrapped up a five hour lab and off to enjoy lunch! Hope everyone has a productive weekend.
