So Anxious...I was BANNED

So during our scouting trip we bought a table at The Bank. We were having a great night when out of no where this girl sucker punched me in the FACE! I know everyone says this...but literally I did nothing wrong. 

After waiting 2 hours for cops that never showed, I decided not to press charges. Security then informed me that since I wasn't pressing charges I was now BANNED from all MGM properties, including Aria where our wedding is booked. 

I get to spend the week trying to get this ban lifted. I am thinking I should still press charges against the girl! I am so anxious and scared about what to do :(

    So technically they just banned your name right? I just looked this up, same situations have happened before, one person made a good point you can reserve a room under a different name and stay. Good luck with trying to remove the ban!

    She is banned too....for good reason! They said anytime there is an altercation where no charges are pressed it is their policy to ban both parties as it is not their job to determine who was the aggressor vs victim...it's the cops.

    I highly doubt that security will have a poster with your face on it - so hopefully like other PPs have said, you can just book things under a different name. 

    It would be a real shame if the wedding coordinator from Aria DID happen to come across your ban though and threw a wrench in things. I would see about getting the ban lifted or looking at another property for peace of mind.

    I am currently filing charges (it's a more complicated process than I thought but will be worth it!). I also have a call in with the VP of Security. Of course his admin said he's a "busy man" so I am not sure when I will hear back. I am hoping once he receives the police report, he will call me back and we can get this all settled. Keep your fingers crossed!

    I am very glad you are pressing charges! Hate to say it, but being in the hotel industry myself...there are "lists" and things that go around...strange stuff, bad check writers, partyers who trash rooms, scam artists and what not. Imagine if there is an MGM ban list that is around and the chapel sees it. Since obviously you have to put your name on your wedding, it's not so simple as booking a room under someone else's name. You don't need that kind of stress! It's probably not gonna happen, but soooooo not worth the risk with this amount of money, guest experience and your wedding day on the line.
