Survey I saw on my Month Boards...seems fun.

1. When did you join the knot?   01/31/10
2. When your FI proposed, did you see it coming or was it a surprise?
Saw it coming…we were actually already planning before we were officially engaged.  (We’re dorks…lol)
3. What is the most fun you had during the planning process?   Just brainstorming with my wedding planner, she is amazing!!!  Oh, and our dance lessons!  Oh, one more….playing with makeup.  I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis anymore. I forgot how much fun it can be,
4. What is the least fun you had during the planning process?  Dealing with our photographers.  Yes, we have gone through two.
5. If you had to start the planning process all over, is there anything you'd do differently?  Perhaps run off to Aruba??  Actually, other than the issues with our photographers and some slight family drama here and there, it has been a lot of fun.
6. What are you most looking forward to about the wedding day?  Seeing my DF at the end of the aisle.
7. When is your wedding day?  10/22/11
8. What's left on your to do list?
Programs, escort cards and table name signs
9. What are you doing the day after the wedding? Brunch with the family
10. Share one piece of great advice you received along the way-be it about the planinng process, the wedding day itself, etc.
It sounds cliché, but don’t sweat the small stuff.  At the end of the day, you will be married.  Just breathe and enjoy!  (Yes, I know it is easier said than done, but my DF has been absolutely fabulous about keeping me grounded during all of this.)

Pittsburgh September Siggy - Our honeymoon will be at the Royal Suites Turquesas in P*nta Cana. Super excited!

I love surveys! It's fun to read info about everyone!

    1. When did you join the knot?   I think summer 2010.
    2. When your FI proposed, did you see it coming or was it a surprise? Saw it coming, but was surprised in the moment - we wanted to be engaged before we closed on our house.

    3. What is the most fun you had during the planning process?   I like the DIY things I have done. Coming up with a theme when I never intended to have one. And shopping for bridesmaids gifts has been fun - they are getting some awesome swag bags!
    4. What is the least fun you had during the planning process?  Dealing with our reception venue manager. Let me tell you, he is not the person you would want to have plan your wedding. Reason why we hired Sumer, our super helpful planner.
    5. If you had to start the planning process all over, is there anything you'd do differently? I can't change this, but I wish my mom had been here for more of the planning process. Miss her all the time.
    6. What are you most looking forward to about the wedding day?  Hopefully a really fun and genuinely happy day.
    7. When is your wedding day?  6/2/12
    8. What's left on your to do list? Mostly paper things - mail our STDs, finalize invitations, table numbers, escort cards. Also still have to pick my veil.
And pick our HM, which is more difficutl than anything I have done so far!
    9. What are you doing the day after the wedding? I think we are planning a brunch at the hotel for all of the overnight guests. Also just relaxing, sorting through gifts and getting ready to leave for HM the next day.
    10. Share one piece of great advice you received along the way-be it about the planinng process, the wedding day itself, etc.    Having a long engagement has been a blessing. Sometimes I'm in super busy planning and others I can just look at my FI and remember why we are doing all of this planning and just be in love and enjoy this time be engaged. (Totally cheesy, lol.)

    1. When did you join the knot?   About a million years ago lol - well before I was engaged.  I love weddings!
    2. When your FI proposed, did you see it coming or was it a surprise?
I was COMPLETELY surprised.                                                                                           3. What is the most fun you had during the planning process?   Talking to our graphic designer.  I think I'm most excited about my paper!  Dana is so talented and nice - she's made everything so easy!
    4. What is the least fun you had during the planning process?  My mother has turned into a crazy person : /  I'm an only child, and I think she really wants everything to be perfect, but it's making her micromanage and it's driving me bananas!
    5. If you had to start the planning process all over, is there anything you'd do differently?  I'd commission a building that can hold all of my guests in a pretty location for my ceremony :).
    6. What are you most looking forward to about the wedding day? My FI crying - I totally know he will.
    7. When is your wedding day?  9/29/12
    8. What's left on your to do list?
    Just about everything.
    9. What are you doing the day after the wedding? Brunch with the family
    10. Share one piece of great advice you received along the way-be it about the planinng process, the wedding day itself, etc.    You only get to do this once, so make sure it's what you and FI want - don't try to meet everyone else's expectations.

    1. When did you join the knot?   According to my posts, 6/9/10
    2. When your FI proposed, did you see it coming or was it a surprise?
Knew it was coming (we'd been together 4 years) but was surprised in the moment!
    3. What is the most fun you had during the planning process?   I liked trying on and buying my dress (and the other accessories).
    4. What is the least fun you had during the planning process?  DIY stuff, although I like when it's done, just not when I'm doing it.
    5. If you had to start the planning process all over, is there anything you'd do differently? I would invite even less people...and maybe have let FI convince me to do a destination wedding.
    6. What are you most looking forward to about the wedding day? I am super excited for our first look!
    7. When is your wedding day?  4/14/12
    8. What's left on your to do list? Buy invitation supplies, print them, assemble them, mail them.  I need to buy a veil, and I don't have my undergarments yet.  Honeymoon needs to get booked as well.  Other than that, we need to have our tasting, do e-pics, and get the guy's tuxes.  Geez, we still have a lot to do!

    9. What are you doing the day after the wedding? I think we might just relax in Pittsburgh.  It's looking like FI and I will be living apart until 1 month post-wedding, so if we can get an extra day to be together, we'll take it!
    10. Share one piece of great advice you received along the way-be it about the planinng process, the wedding day itself, etc.    I think the idea of "as long as you are married at the end of the day, it was a good day." That helps a type A person like me not get stressed over the small things.

    1. When did you join the knot?
Wow, apparently in Oct. 2009, but I don't remember actually participating in anything until I was engaged myself.. so about a year later.

    2. When your FI proposed, did you see it coming or was it a surprise?
    COMPLETE SURPRISE!

    3. What is the most fun you had during the planning process?
We were really excited in finding a great photographer...  our e-pics were fun, and we enjoy exploring honeymoon options :)  It's also neat seeing everything slowly come together (i.e. BM dresses, suits, flowers...)

    4. What is the least fun you had during the planning process?
Occasional disagreements with my mommy and second-guessing everything.

    5. If you had to start the planning process all over, is there anything you'd do differently?
I would explore the option of a destination wedding or having the ceremony and reception in one venue (and would probably have to move the wedding to a warmer month)

    6. What are you most looking forward to about the wedding day?
Dancing the night away, celebrating this great day with the people I care about the most.

    7. When is your wedding day?
    4/14/12

    8. What's left on your to do list?
Invites, meeting with a florist, getting the BM dresses in, making more DIY stuff, planning the ceremony program, getting our music options together... the list goes on and on lol.

    9. What are you doing the day after the wedding?
Not really sure.. probably de-toxing and relaxing in Pittsburgh.  We'll probably go through some of our gifts and decide what we want to take back to DC with us.  We might even head back to DC that night, depending on when we leave for our honeymoon.

    10. Share one piece of great advice you received along the way-be it about the planinng process, the wedding day itself, etc.
Don't compare your wedding with someone elses.. this is YOUR wedding, it is what YOU have planned and created, which makes it special in it's own way.
