Re: Small group wedding dinner

  • try maggianos they have small private rooms for a small deposit and you just have to meet a food and beverage minimum were looking at the room slightly bigger than the smallest room for 23 people with one power chair and access to a patio for $350 deposit and $700 food and bev you can bring in or not any flowers, cake, photographers that you like I think the webpage is maggianoslittleitaly.com hope its helpful! Happy planning! :)

  • I second maggianos. We've booked a banquet table in a private dining room for 9, the menu is huge for family style dining. Deposit was $250. Minimum spend $500. The coordinators at the restaurant have been very good in terms of communication from the UK. We are getting married in July (next month eek!) I can post reviews in a month if you haven't booked by then?
  • honestly it depends on your group, my group would be just fine with a public restauranyt

  • It does depend on your group, I agree. But it's your wedding day, worth doing something extra special and memorable!
  • Whats your budget? We booked Stripburger/ El Segundo Sol also coming from the UK. We've booked their tequila private room and there will be around 15 of us. We are booking off their main menu but they do also have a really reasonable party package. Depends what your looking for but definitely a relaxed option!

  • Many restaurants have private and semi-private areas that would hold a group your size. Check out http://www.opentable.com/. You can search by group size and price, and most of the restaurants have photos of the private and semi-private areas.
  • we had our reception in the main dining area of the restaurant we chose. We had just under 20 guests and it was fine. For a small wedding I personally would prefer to be in the main dining room because you get more atmosphere. The restaurant seated the guests at two big round tables and the bridal party had a long rectangular "head" table. It all worked out really well and I'm glad we didn't have a private room.
  • @kellamity‌ did you tell the restaurant when you booked that it was for your wedding? X

  • @laurenlozzy, yes I did. They had a group dining menu with the same prices and choices for every type of event - including weddings. We were lucky because a lot of restaurants hear the word "wedding" and double/triple their prices.
  • Following this thread...we will need something like this as well :)
  • We are having a small wedding party too, 8 people. We are having our reception at the Canaletto at the Venetian. There is no room fee, no food and drink minimum you have to meet which was my problem as I couldn't have possibly met the minimum of some of the restaurants. It over looks 'St Paul's' square so you get the buzz from down below. Our wedding is not for a couple more weeks but from other reviews I have read it seemed the perfect choice for us.
