What would you do if this happened to you?

http://gma.yahoo.com/wedding-party-takes-dip-dock-collapses-183941956--abc-news-lifestyle.html?vp-1

I would have to laugh after that happened! Would it ruin your day, or would you be able to laugh it off?

I think I would laugh it off, and take a quick trip to a store to get a cheap white dress and maybe take the girls to get new dresses as well. As long as I get pictures in my gown, I don't think I would be too upset.

  • I would not be a happy camper, tbh.
  • What a giant wedding party! That is all I kept thinking. :)

  • At least they stayed dry above the waist. I could roll with that...dunked completely under and I'd be a mess - both physically and emotionally.
    ~xoxo~

  • I've seen so many pictures/videos of this happening I can't believe people are still piling their wedding party on to docks to take pictures.

I think I'd be upset for a few minutes and then get over it and laugh.

  • I'd laugh my ass off. I'd probably worry about people getting hurt or catching cold but, beyond that, I'd just laugh.

What else can you really do?

I might change clothes though- I can't imagine the weight of a wet wedding dress!

  • I would have some one hose me off in dress to get off dirt, etc, and air dry in the back of someone's truck on the way to reception. No Biggie. I might freak at first..only because of pictures, but other than that it's all water under the bridge. Literally! lol :)

I would laugh. Honestly, the more weird shit that happens at our wedding I think the better it will be. But seriously, is anyone surprised when the bridal party had a bazillion people in it?

  • So long as the water didn't go over my head (I can't swim), I'd be laughing my ass off.

  • Just keep swimming...

Hey, the show's gotta go on. Might as well smile.
  • I would honestly be pissed. Mostly about my hair.If my hair gets wet, unless I blow it out, I need my curly styling products. Without them, I will end up with a big curly frizzy puff. Of course, I would never agree to get on a dock like that, and I will not be going near the lake at our venue until we at least get a chunk of the pictures over and done with. JIC!

  • I would cry. But I would stop crying in 5 minutes and the day would go on as normal. It wouldn't ruin the whole day, just upset me for a little while.

  • I would probably cry and be angry AF because all of my cool fancy actuvities have been a bust and I would lovefor our wedding to go as smoothly as possible. Having my dress ruined and all my girls' as well would suck.

  • I would be pissed frankly. But I also would know better then to take 20 people out on a rickety, old dock to get a picture taken.

  • I don't think I would be happy. At all. I don't know that I'd be able to laugh it off in a wet gown. Unless someone immediately handed me wine. A whole bottle.

And yeah....you're not going to catch me on a dock, near the edge of a pool, or anything like that on my wedding day because I WILL fall in.

I would cry and freak out a little.  Then I would try to clean off the dress and dry it.  I guess the groomsmen would have to wear their regular shoes, I might get someone to run to the dollar store and pickup some socks for them.

  • Apparently that happened BEFORE the ceremony. I would be pissed in that case but do my best to shake it off. I also wouldn't go near any large body of water in my dress anyway.

  • Didn't this same thing happen like a year ago?
  • I would laugh tell everyone to find dry clothes sweats, jeans, whatever and go to the reception and tell a great story!
  • I would laugh.

I've worked way too many wedding where brides have cried over lesser stuff and I always told myself I would never do that.  An upset bride brings down the whole event.   Having a good attitude lets everyone else have good attitude.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • laugh i think

  • OOT but @Vivandiere8 you siggy pic is so amazingly beautiful, intimate, and romantic! love it! props to your photog

  • I like to think that I would laugh. Honestly that day is about marrying your FI and making that commitment and it's pretty much guaranteed that something will go wrong, I'd like to think I'd laugh and roll with it and too ask if they got it on camera to incorporate for later memories and laughs.

Yes.  It was on the news, too.

  • My first thought was, "They only started 10 minutes late after that.  Proof for all the special snowflakes who think it's ok to start 20 - 30 minutes late that there is almost no reason for a late start."
