..AND we have proof!

So, my H and I have been married almost 10 months. (10 months next week). After the craziness of the wedding, we never got around to printing/framing any pics. (Other than ones for our parents). We bought our new house in December, which was a decent excuse for being too busy for a while, & now more so, it's becoming clear that laziness had taken over. Friends come over & tease us all of the time, that we even have a framed pic from a trip we went on in Feb, but no wedding pics. SO, yesterday I went Father's Day shopping, and planned as part of my dad's gift, to frame some wedding pics I knew he'd be wanting, AND, bought some frames, and printed 2 pictures for our place! I was actually more excited than I thought I would be to have them up! So now the ongoing joke between friends can end that there was no evidence...& we now have proof that a wedding took place at some point! LOL.

Did anyone else wait for, what some people found "too long", to get wedding pics up?? Or is it totally just us??

 Happy "almost" Friday!

  • My parents never had pictures from their wedding in our house hanging up on walls. To be honest, the only pictures they had in their house was of me or their dogs. When we got our e-pics back and FI wanted to print one for the living room, I felt a little AW about it since I never grew up with family photos or wedding photos around. I bit the bullet this weekend and bought a frame and now we have a nice black and white picture of us in the living room.

  • I've been married a bit over 8 months and there are no photos in my house yet.  We printed 2 with the intention of framing and hanging them, but they're still in the box they shipped in.  Lots of framed pictures were given out at xmas and we each have one on our desks at work.
  • I bet your Dad will be so pleased.
  • It took me well over a year (I think closer to 2 years) to print and put up any wedding pictures even though I had all wedding photos from the photographer about 3 months after our wedding day.

It took us over a year. That said, DH promptly hung the picture of him and Ben Stiller in his office the first day back.

  • My parents celebrated their 40th anniversary last week. Their wedding photos are still in a shoebox in my mom's closet. My mom planned to put then in a scrapbook when she was retired. She retired 6 years ago.

    I don't think it's that big of a deal.

  • It took us about a year from moving into our apartment to put up anything on the walls at all.  Once we renewed our lease we were like, "I guess we really live here now!" and we put up a bunch of pics and artwork.  We just sort of never had the energy to decorate, but now I'm really glad that we did.

We have a few photos up around the house from our engagement party.  My parents never had wedding pics either (they're divorced), but I love having family pictures around.

  • We've lived in my house two years ago and I have only decorated the walls in one room. I doubt my wedding pics will go up anythime soon after my wedding either.

I have always been obsessed with pictures. I was that freak in high school that would run to CVS at 8am the morning after prom to get my disposable camera developed because I just could not wait to see the pictures. When we get back from vacations, I normally print all the pictures 1. to show people like my grandparents who don't have facebook 2. to have copies because so many people have had electronics crap out and lose their pics forever. So I will definitely have some wedding photos framed and hanging within the wedding month hahah. But my parents never had any in the house and they are still married 36 years later.

  •  I'm totally all for pictures! We have a couple engagement pics, (that we framed as soon as we had them back), now the 2 wedding ones, & then just randoms otherwise. I don't have any hung on the walls yet, but they're framed & on furniture. (ie: bedside table, 2 on a shelving unit, etc). We have a couple of 'wall hangings', but I've been avoiding hanging too much yet, as we just bought our house in December, and I feel the need to rearrange furniture from time to time. Once I feel like I'm going to leave it for a while, I may hang more. Lol ;)

I'm glad I'm not alone in waiting to get some prints! My parents have been asking for more, so I'm glad I had an excuse to get to the printing place! :)

  • Married over 3.5 years and no wedding pictures displayed. Most of the framed photos we have are because someone gave them to us framed. Also, I don't really like our wedding pictures.

  • We have many pictures hanging in our apartment but we are hopefully moving in the next month and the wedding was only 8 months ago I figured I want to see the new space before I pick out pictures and sizes.

    Anniversary
  • Yes!  It's been a year and a half and we have a couple small ones that are sample prints that our photog gave us, but no larger ones.  I bought frames about three months ago, and I just haven't gotten around to ordering prints yet.

And then I knelt on one while packing for our move and broke the glass.

  • I got married 3 weeks ago and just ordered a few prints.  I put really nice frames on our registry and people bought them so I felt the need to hurry up and get prints.  These gorgeous frames have just been sitting around since March.

If it wasn't for the frames I probably would have waited to order stuff.
