It feels like the wedding wasn't a day, but almost a full week. Bridesmaids started arriving Tuesday night, and we turned into hosts on Wednesday afternoon. There was drama up until the ceremony started - one of the bridesmaids' husbands slept through his alarm clock and caused a panic when we couldn't raise him on the phone. But it did start, albeit an hour late, and we did have a great time. There were definitely things that could have gone better, and backups to backup plans would have been helpful, but our guests had a great time. They loved the venue, loved the food, and loved our ceremony. We didn't do much catching up or celebrating at the event itself, but in post-wedding events stretching from Saturday night on Fremont, Sunday brunch at Rio, and Sunday dinner at Lotus of Siam. I'm full, sunburnt, happy, and will not let the inner perfectionist quibble about what the reception venue did with my cupcakes (placed them in the to-go boxes and then on the tiered cake platters, completely hiding the cake tier we'd bought on the tallest platter) or the fact that we could have set up the music to make the reception last longer. Our friends were kind enough to get some pics and video while we wait for the pros:
