What are you doing for reception centerpieces?

I'm trying to find out options regarding centerpieces. The ceremony flowers must all be purchased from the wedding venue, so it will just be bouquets. The reception is at a restaurant with round tables of 6, but no decorations are provided. Any suggestions for inexpensive and simple centerpieces? If you are not using a florist, what are you doing for centerpieces? Thanks!

I'm doing cholla cactus branches (kinda like manzanita but tubular), painted white, in a glass vase with river rocks and green, blue and white gems. A vintage national park post card and photos of us at the park will hang from the branches with green ribbon. I'll try to get a pic for you - it sounds more complicated than it is.

This was ours, The calla lilies on the bottom were a BM bouquet, not part of the centre pieces. But it included 3 long stem Calla's and a vase rental for $43/each (signed on last year). I didn't want to buy vases because I was coming from canada, this is the only place that offered to rent them!

I am doing paper flowers. I found a picture online, and my mom just made one to replicate it. Here is what they'll look like (in red, ivory, and black).

I work part time w/ a florist here in NJ and I refussse to get ripped off by this. I can't help it, cause I know how much the flowers/centerpieces cost to make. I'm shippin all my stuff out and back. It's cheaper then renting what I wanted!

we are carting some simple tealight candle holders that I will DIY from Australia... they will then probably be left behind. We cant have open flames, so we have to use those LED fake candles though.

We're doing the Stardust Suite at the Orleans so it's really not much to decorate which is one of the reasons we chose it.
I'm planning to pack simple items to create simple decor: Vases, artificial orchids to place in the vases with colored water, ordering tons of candles from Amazon and placing them all around, Drying rose petals and packing them to scatter around...and picture frames with our engagement photos...very simple

Haha the exact package I built is now a standard package on my flower shops website! Everything down to the blue accents! I am pretty sure those are my wedding flowers. The one half limp calla in the big vase was total at our wedding. It was a great a package.
