Reception, Outdoors, Farvue Mansion in Goochland

Hi Ladies!

Have you heard of anyone being married in this offbeat location?

Farvue Mansion, a Wilton home, built 1854. (12671 River Rd, Richmond, VA 23238-6139)

The James River is the draw for us-we'd love to go out to the country. The website is lacking and this is the very first time I have ever heard of Farvue.

Anything helps :)

I didn't view this location because the reception area is really small but it looks beautful from the pictures.

The venue is $3000 ceremony and reception or $2000 for either ceremony or reception. The reception site holds 40-50 people seated but her e-mail implied that a lot of people keep the doors open and expand outside. I believe they also let you use any vendors that you would like.

That's all the info I got from them. After finding out how many people the sie would handle inside, I decided not to go with the venue.
  • You brides may have already had your weddings, but I thought I'd share my experience in case someone else is looking into hosting their event here.  I had my wedding here over the summer and it was absolutely wonderful.  SO BEAUTIFUL! I had ~100 people and used the barn as a cocktail area and tented outside for dinner/ dance area.  Guests can still get a view of the river if you lay it out that way.  The owners were firendly and accomodating. Many people said it was the best wedding they had ever been to- Farvue's asthetic definitely added to the experience!
  • Hi cortney! Thanks for the great info. How did you get in touch with them? I have called/emailed and got nothin.
  • @Knottie93456622 this post is 3 years old. The OP is likely long gone. Please post on your local board if you have a question about this venue. @knotporscha zombie thread.
