AW: My wedding dress is here! I need help!

So my wedding dress came in this week! I'm so excited and ready to put it on again. However, when I order it I purchased the veil I tried on with it (pictured) because it is a gorgeous veil.

I since have changed my mind and decided I want a cathedral length veil. I mean, I only get to wear a veil once, why not have one that is more dramatic?

Any good suggestions on veils. What detailing/lace/beading(if any) would look best with my dress? I know many of you have posted websites that you have ordered from. Thanks in advance!

Wow, that dress is gorgeous on you!!

I think a cathedral veil will look fab. Just some beading around the edge of the veil would be nice. I don't have a specific recommendation though; I'll probably be lazy and just buy my veil from the shop where I got my dress. Can you try in a few veils in the shop and see what you like?

So beautiful! I would also do a catherdral length. Be careful with the beading (just do minimal as PP suggested). You don't want it interfering with that gorgeous dress!

A longer veil will also be heavier, so more than a tiny bit of beading on a cathedral veil may feel like it's tugging your head back.

Can't help with retailer suggestions but I ditto the reco on just a simple beaded edge. And a heck of a strong hairdo to hold that sucker up.

Yes, go ahead and do the cathedral veil! The shimmery edge on the veil you're wearing is perfect.

@JCBride2015 I go pick it up in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping they have some cathedral length ones in the shop. When I was trying it on originally, they kept giving everyone the fingertip length.

@lolo883 I know I am wearing my hair completely up and i have a ton of hair (even though you can't tell here because I have it in a tight bun). I think if I have a lower updo it will fit nicely in the top.

I couldn't decide if I want a beaded edge like the one I tried on or just a raw cut edge to keep it simple.

I think you should go for simple. That dress is stunning and has a lot going on. I think the veil should enhance and not compete.

Devil's advocate - if you are only going to wear a veil one do youw ant to wear it all day? That's why I didn't do cathedral. I love, LOVE them....but I wanted to wear my veil for the entire reception

Obridal.com! Kathy made mine and she'll be able to offer suggestions on veil color and beading to match! It was so inexpensive. My 11ft long veil with custom lace appliques cost 290. Normally cathedrals cost 600+.
