Alterations in central ct?

I am looking for someone to do my alterations in central ct, it would have to be a rush as well as I live in arizona but am getting married here, and am debating just leaving my dress at my parents, being fit about 6 months out and then final fittings 1-2 weeks prior to the wedding, eek I know. The problem is it is a pain to fly my dress back and forth or ship it as well, and there isnt anywhere close to where I live in Arizona. I shopped at Brides to Be in Glastonbury for a sash and veil and am wondering if anyone used them for alterations? I am a bit nervous never having seen their work and am debating adding straps to my dress so it may not be a basic fitting I am looking for. Any suggestions or advice is welcome!

    You could try Connie's Tailoring in Berlin, CT. I've used them for my wedding gown and a bridesmaid dress and was very pleased with the work they did both times. I had a tight timeline with the wedding dress (about a month - not sure if they could make it happen for you in two weeks, but it doesn't hurt to ask) and they got it done within the timeline they quoted me.

    I second Connie's in Berlin! She did the alterations for my first wedding dress and she's done a few other dresses for me since for other events. She is amazing. If my dress for this wedding needs alterations, she'll be my first call.

    I have heard good things about the seamstress that Brides to Be uses, but I haven't used her myself.

    On a side note, was the sash selection good there?

    Bridal bells boutique has the best seamstress..they do speedy alterations and they are very good

    i second bridal bells  got my dress and bridesmaid dresses from them. they did the alterations on my dress and three out of 7 of my bridesmaids dresses ( 4 maids live out of state had them done where they live) the alterations on my dress came out amazing t and so did the alterations for my maids they do a really good job and they are very resonable on pricing

    i have heard bad things about brides to be in glastonbury on alterations google reviews a few brides wrote that they had to take the dress elsewhere after the fact because they did such a poor job on the dress
