preserved floral centerpieces

I bought some preserved hydrangeas for my wedding and has anyone ever used already preserved flowers at a wedding? I was also thinking of going to a nursery and just buying some hydrangeas and cutting the stems the day before and arranging them.

    Dried hydranges have a different color then fresh. Fresh are very bright & colorful while the dried the colors are more subtle. So I think it depends on if you want bright colors or faded soft colors.
