How do I always manage to do this?

So how was y'alls weekend?
TLDR; I had a busy weekend and hurt my leg on Sunday because I stupidly rearranged the bedroom by myself and the mirror part of my dresser fell on me.

Friday I had a huge event for work. First there was a free concert by a military band and then we showed Frozen (all outside at local park). It was all going great until about 45 minutes into the movie and it started to pour down rain! We had about 800 people at my event and I'm hoping they come back this Friday to watch the movie.

Saturday, FI and I volunteered at the US Open. We poured beer for 4 hours. I have never opened so many beer cans in my life. Both my index and middle fingernails are broken so bad they bled. The plus side is that we got the watch the Open that afternoon and evening on Hole 12 and 14.

Yesterday, I went to church in the morning and got home and ate lunch. FI was at work and calls me and lets me know his parents are coming for supper. So I start cleaning the house and decide I want to rearrange the bedroom. I have this weird thing about rearranging rooms every 6 months. Well I get everything moved around (by myself) and then it happened.

My dresser is two pieces: the bottom with the drawers and a mirror that is connected held up by posts. This is a huge, antique dresser that is very heavy. I walked by and all of the sudden, the mirror part falls off...onto me. I literally thought it broke my leg. I started screaming and the three dogs were freaking out because they didn't know how to help (they tried licking my leg but that hurt worse). My thigh and shin are super swollen and bruised today. There is on part of my foot that I hurt and now it hurts to wear shoes. I am fairly clumsy and hurt myself a lot, but this is awful. I rarely bruise and these bruises popped up immediately.

  • I threw out my back moving boxes of books, so at least you're in good company of clumsy people around here!

Spent all day Saturday packing. Yesterday we had dinner with FI's family and I spent the whole time cuddling nephew. He is a good baby.

  • More clumsy company here!

I am always walking into things and bruising myself, but last weekend I topped it. I was bending over cleaning something up and when I stood up and turned at the same time I nailed my head on the door frame. I have never hit my head so hard in my life, I almost knocked myself out! Instant egg on my head that lasted a few days and now the bruise has just faded (still a little sore!)

  • I'm perpetually covered in cuts and bruises. It's frustrating, particularly since I'm so pale. It's a hot day today but I'm wearing jeans instead of a skirt to work to cover the huge purple bruise I have on my thigh. I tried to stop a heavy box from falling with my thigh. Gravity won.

Not a bad weekend though- just utterly unproductive!

  • I think if the mirror wouldn't have hit my leg it would have broken. I told my dad about it and he was like, "well at least the mirror didn't break!" Haha.

I know your pain! I once broke an awesome glass-top coffee table because I got tired of asking then fiance to move it for me. So, I moved it myself. Glass slipped off and very elegantly surfed down the stairs before shattering in a million pieces.

I had a busy weekend too. I sold a car Saturday morning. purchased a new car Saturday afternoon- and managed to tile the kitchen backsplash on the same day! (In comparison, on Saturday my husband went shooting with the boys, watched World Cup soccer, got his dream car, and went to sleep at 7:30 PM) Sunday, I messed with my fish tank for a few hours cleaning it and trouble shooting a filter problem, ran some errands and did some chores around the house.

I am exhausted. Can I have a do over?

  • @SBmini YAY for the new car! Y'all will love cruising in that! And love the back splash. If we weren't renting at the moment, that'd be my DIY project of the week.

  • @SBmini When I saw your car, I said OUT LOUD, "Shit bitch, you is fine."

    I want that car.

Lol thanks! We drove it about 100 miles yesterday because we were so excited. The looks we get in it are crazy. A girl yelled "Nice car!" at us and tons of people stared. It definitely still looks great for a 9-year-old car!

  • Right there with the clumsiness

I cut my finger at work wednesday off of my desk- long story short- gushed blood at my thumb knuckle and now can't bend it! So this weekend, we literally had a lazy weekend full of movies all weekend long because FI wouldn't let me go swimming... on the plus side, my thumb should be healed in time for our beach HM in 3 weeks.
