I had my first wedding nightmare!

It all seemed to go really well and I was happy, but the wedding was completely not the wedding I planned. Anyway, I didn't remember much of the wedding, so I asked FI what the worst thing that happened was. He didn't want to tell me. Finally I got him to tell me. My dress had apparently fallen down below my waist, and my bra. Everyone saw my everything. oops.

Good thing I am not looking at strapless dresses!

  • Ah! Bet it wasn't much of a nightmare to your fl!

The worst nightmare I had before my wedding was all the boats bringing the guests to the beach broke down and we all had to swim over. Once I swam there I looked down and realized I forgot to wear my dress and was only wearing my swimsuit.

Oh god, I had my first one a couple weeks ago.... it was terrible. I feel your pain. lol

In mine, the flowers were all dead, one of my bridesmaids dyed her dress camo and carried a gun instead of flowers, my dress got trashed, the reception venue screwed everything up, and it rained.

Sad thing is, yesterday my friend/bm sent me a picture of her in the dress and she was wearing her camo hat. She then said "I think I changed my mind about wanting to wear red shoes ((They chose the colour of shoes they wanted to wear because the dresses are ivory)), instead I'm going to wear camo muck boots, this hat, and carry my rifle instead of flowers".... before this, I hadn't mentioned anything about my nightmare to anyone. I know she was joking (I hope. lol) but it was a big "holy fuck" moment at the time. Hahaha

Edited because apparently I need more coffee before forming sentences.

I've been having fewer nightmares as more and more wedding stuff gets taken care of. Most of my older wedding nightmares were about things like showing up at the venue and realizing that I never hired a hair stylist or make-up artist (I went into problem-solving mode and sent a bridesmaid to get me some make-up from the drugstore). Current nightmares are like ... I'm at the reception and realize I have no memory of the ceremony.

  • I had crazy horrific nightmares caused by wedding anxiety..at about the 3 months before mark- combo with The Walking Dead stuff.

It involved death, monsters, and being choked by two snakes...The only nice one was when i married a different man- I was hesitant but did it anyway. After the ceremony, I ran away to fiance-who in the dream was just my friend- and when I told him I ran from the wedding, he said he knew I would because of him.

Like @phira, all of the bad dreams went away now that we've got more done and is pretty close to the wedding.
  • I haven't gotten past the nightmares of "my" ring (although it has yet to actually look like the one I was given, thank goodness) falling to pieces, and when I show FI he leaves. One time when I woke up after one of these, my ring had fallen off in my sleep and I started freaking out.

I can't *wait* to see what my subconscious gives me when it's time for wedding nightmares...

  • I recently had a dream that my ex was at the end of the aisle instead of FI. It was horrible.

  • I had my first one a few weeks out. We realized after the ceremony that we forgot to decorate, so FI's aunt and I went to a 99 cent store and we bought Christmas lights, tinsel, a Santa Claus cut out, and a giant birdcage for any cards. Our wedding is in May....

  • I've had several.  They've stopped for a bit but I assume they'll pick up again in a month or two, lol.

  • Lord. I have one at least every couple days. The most recent one was that we got done with the entire wedding and I decided that it wasn't good enough so it didn't count and I needed to do it over. I woke up terrified, calmed down when I realized it wasn't real, then remembered that people actually do that and got upset all over again.
