Gazebo decent dance area?

My reception will be outdoors between the church and gazebo. The gazebo is 20 ft by 20 ft. This should work as a fine dance floor, right?

Re: Gazebo decent dance area?

  • It depends how many people you have dancing. That's 400 square feet of dance space. I would estimate at least 4 square feet per person so it could hold 100, but that would be a little crowded. Do you have more people than that coming that will dance?

  • Is it enclosed so there's only one entrance/exit? It might be hard to get people up there dancing if it's not easy to just pop on and pop off the dance floor. Also, will it be easy for all of your guests to see the "spotlight" dances (i.e. first dance, father/daughter dance, etc.)? Meaning, will they all fit up there standing around the edges while you dance, or will you be clearly visible from outside the gazebo? Some gazebo's are pretty raised up, that would be a problem if everyone can't fit inside to watch.
