Funny quote needed

At our reception, near our guestbook FH and I want to put up a framed picture of us. The picture is of us in opposing team baseball shirts (red sox and yankees) because the running joke is how will our marriage survive with us loving opposing teams.  I want to include a funny quote about marital disagreements, relationships, etc something that highlights differences of opinion but in a fun, lighthearted way (as that is how most of our wedding events are being planned to be fun and humorous). I have googled endlessly but not found anything I liked.  Thoughts?

    If you've googled endlessly and not found anything you liked, that could be because there are no appropriate quotes.  

    I think you're going to get a lot of opinions telling you not to go for this.  "Humor" and "fun" about "marital disagreements and relationships" just isn't appropriate for an occasion celebrating coming together as a union.

    If you'd like to put up pictures of you both with jerseys of opposing teams, that would be fine.  I don't think, however, it'd be fine to joke about your marriage falling apart at the celebration of your wedding.  I get that it's a running joke (with whom? your family? your friends?), but it's really not appropriate to bring up your divorce at your wedding.

    What about just put on the frame "A house divided" and paint one half of the frame his team's color, and the other yours... 

    OR... "Our house is divided, but our love is united.."  


    That's all I got.

    That's all I got.  
    This is probably the best I could think of. But I don't even like this, honestly.  Because everyone knows "A house divided cannot stand."  So I wouldn't want to put that in our guests' heads.

    I think you should just let the picture speak for itself.  People will get a chuckle out of the fact that you support rival teams.  A saying or whatever really isn't necessary.

    I agree with this. As a Yankee fan, I'm very impressed you two have made it work lol. The picture alone would definitely speak for itself. A quote would be almost overdoing it or assuming your guests need something spelled out for them.

    You could even do something like "Our love survives all rivalies" or "If we can overcome this, we can overcome anything"

    I agree that the picture probably says enough.

    I actually just went to a wedding a few weeks ago where the groom is a Sox fan and the bride is a Yankee fan. The best man put a red sox shirt over his dress shirt for his speech just to get a rise out of her family and it was really quite funny and well done.
