NWR: MyVegas Free Rooms

I play MyVegas on FB and have used my reward points to get a free room before but I've seen several posts on here about people getting two or three nights in a row through MyVegas.  Does anyone know how to do that?  I have plenty of points; I just don't see anywhere to reserve more than one night at a time.

Re: NWR: MyVegas Free Rooms

  • I'm playing, but haven't redeemed anything yet.  I'm going in August so we're probably going to redeem either show tickets or food.  I read somewhere that the free rooms aren't worth how many points they take.  I haven't looked into it though.  I know that if you go to mycheapvegas.com, you can use the username guest, password guest, and see all the promotions for rooms and get the best deal.

  • It depends when you book them.  I've got mid-week rooms at Aria for really low points before so it's a good deal when you can find the "Bonus Days" or whatever it is they call them.  Extra-value, maybe?  Anyway, I'm trying to use some of my points to book a room for a friend of mine that I really want to be at the wedding but who's super tight on cash right now.  I thought that might be an option but I looked through all the hotel rewards and only see the one night option.  I've seen people on here talk about staying 2 and 3 nights through redeeming points though so I'm not sure what I'm missing.  Thanks for the other website though.  I used smartervegas to get 20% our Vista Suite booking but I'm getting ready to send out invitations and would like to include a couple of these coupon sites with the info.  I'll throw that one in there, too.  Thank you!

  • No problem!  I'd be interested in knowing how to use the points to book rooms.  I only have about 103,000 right now but I'm working hard to get more! :)

  • I just started using this the other day... any tips on how to get the points quickly? It's exciting to think this may add up to something useful! :)

  • I've done two nights at time, I basically just buy two of the one night rewards and when you call to book just say you want them back to back.  I didn't have any issues with Mirage.  With Monte Carlo we got back to our room Saturday after breakfast and our keys didn't work, but we went down to the front desk and they fixed it.  Since it's basically two separate one night reservations the system checked us out.

  • @pennyluwho, I play on Facebook and the app on my kindle fire. They sync loyalty points, but not chips. Facebook racks the points up faster I've found. Good luck!

There are a few different ways to get multiple nights in a row. You should know in advance you can only purchase and use a particular reward once in a 30 day period. So you can not purchase two midweek rooms and use then on the same trip. However, you can purchase a bonus room comp (which means you get two) and the purchase a weekend room comp giving you 3 days. If you spouse plays, you can both redeem and that could be 6 nights. If you don't mind hotel hoping you can each buy a mid week and stay two nights at once place them purchase weekend somewhere else, and so on. Most are limited to 3 mlife rewards per 30 days. That's the days redeems not purchases, so don't try to buy them 90 days out and buy more 30 days out they won't let you use them. The myvegas partners, like sugar factory and monorail are not included in the limits. FI and both play and will be eating big on our trip! The. Hoping to score some free rooms next year for our anniversary!
  • Ah, thank you, ktbabe and a13049.  I knew about only being able to use one particular reward in a 30-day period and that's what was throwing me off.  I didn't know about the bonus room comp.  I've used the bonus dates before but that only got me one night, but at like half the normal points. If I'm reading your post correctly, a13049, you can find the bonus deals that come with 2 nights.  Is that right?  If so, I guess I just need to look a bit harder.

  • So, for all those who play... what's your strategy to win the most LPs?
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • Here's what I do, and I don't know if it's good, bad, or indifferent in regards to strategy but it's worked for me.  I play every day and go collect my chips.  (This is after building all my casinos on the Strip).  Then, instead of playing slots, I go to table games and bet big on black jack.  It gets me points quickly and if you get on a roll, you can have over 100,000 chips in a matter of minutes.  The problem is, it can go really fast, too.  I just keep going back every few hours if I think about it while I'm working and collecting the chips along the Strip.  I try to keep a big balance until they have multiplier LP promotions or those bonus games to get extra chips.  Then I go and play the slots to get the bonuses.  I have like a half million points at the moment and that's from devoting about 5-10 minutes a day to it.

@dbacksgirl‌ I think if there is a bonus comp and a midweek comp they are considered different comps so the. You could purchase both. And of course your SO can purchase one of each as well.
  • HA!  My SO thinks it's the stupidest thing in the world (until I cash in all the free points).  Yet he plays some ridiculous scavenger hunt-type game on his phone EVERYWHERE we go.  Last time we were in Vegas, I hit the spa and the casino and he went up and down the Strip "knocking over portals."  Seriously, I can't hardly talk about it or it will freak me out that he's such a nerd sometimes.  He cooks for me every night though so I can look past that other part.  LOL!!!!

  • OK, I guess I'm still not understanding the multiple nights thing.  I just tried to book a midweek comp bonus value, thinking it would be good for 2 nights and it still said it was good for one nigh only, Sun-Thurs.  Tried Aria, Mandalay Bay, Vdara and MGM.  All only one night as far as I could tell.  Oh well.

  • Let's take MGM mid-week bonus as an example, it's 47,500 points for one night, buy two and then call to book and tell them you want to redeem both nights back to back.

I've done this twice with Monte Carlo and Mirage.

  • Thanks everyone for the tips! We are just getting into this and I have never played facebook games before, so it's all new to me!

  • Ahhhh, thank you @ktbabe530!  THAT'S the part I was missing.  I thought when they put the limits on redemption for rewards at only a certain amount per 30- or 90-day period, that meant you couldn't get more than one room night at a time.  I never knew they'd let you book back-to-back.  Thanks for the tip!
