Hi Girls! This is a two post story. The first half is about FSIL's wedding experience and the second is about the huge fight FI had with his parents about our wedding.
It was as expected- FSIL and her FI fought like cats and dogs for days (some people weren't sure they'd make it down the aisle), she was a biatch all day, we had to hurry up and get ready and then wait to do anything for hours and hours, and the day was completely disorganized.
Here's the list of the bad things that happened. Some of you might learn some ways to avoid these things- I hadn't thought of some of it:
1. The limo got stuck in traffic and was almost an hour late bringing everyone to the venue. FI and I drove ourselves, so we were an hour ahead of everyone.
2. Once everyone arrived, the photographers weren't ready to take pics even though everyone was ready.
3. When we finally took pics, there were too many cooks in the kitchen. She had 3 videographers and 2 photographers- nobody could decide what to do and we barely took any pictures.
4. The planner tried to run a rehearsal before the ceremony, but the priest took over and started yelling at us... like me

FSIL was soooooo pissed about that- her head looked like it would explode
5. The planner started the ceremony without telling the brides and bridesmaids! The groom and priest started the processional and then nobody followed them! There was a super awkward 10 minutes or so.
6. When the priest pronounced them husband and wife, the fire alarm went off and the fire department had to come. In a Hindu ceremony, there is a fire pit. Nobody told the venue about the fire, so they didn't even open a window.
7. The cocktail hour was partially in the same space as the ceremony which meant that we all had to stand in a corner while they set up the food. It was weird.
8. They never lit the sternos for the food stations for the cocktail hour, so all the food was cold.
9. The music was so loud that half the people left and went to the lobby. The party never really got started because nobody wanted to be in the room with the obnoxiously loud music.
The best part was... the end! LOL! And I got to change my dress for the reception so that I didn't have to wear that gawd awful bridesmaid dress the whole time. My parents were there, so that was good- I had moral support. There were lots of other little stories, but those were some points that I thought people might find interesting- things to be avoided, folks!
