Hey all! We are having our guests sign and leave a message on wooden slices like these...

...instead of a traditional guestbook. We've been search for some sort of quote or saying about love/marriage that we could put on a board at the guestbook table goes along with the whole "wooden" theme. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Guest Book Help Needed!

  • What are you going to do with all the wood slices after the wedding?

  • I'm with @acolotti012 about the tree stamp with something about love.

I do have an idea of what you could do with the wood slices. You might be able to put some THICK polyurethane on them to preserve the wood and the message, depending on what you have the guests write the message with. And then you could use them as coasters. Lots, and LOTS of coasters. Coasters everywhere.

I think it's a great idea. We had our guests sign river rocks and keep them in a vase in our home. They do not take up any extra space. I find it curious that people would comment that they would. Or are they huge? I can't tell their size.

Maybe something about their words taking root?  Our sign said something like "Please be a part of our home by sharing your thoughts and well wishes."

You could be super cheesy and say "We "wood" love you to sign....."
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • What "wood" we do without our friends and family?

"Wood" you please leave a message/ signature?

How much wood would a guest book sign if a guest book would sign wood?

    hahahah

What about something from The Giving Tree? It's a perfect example of unconditional love.
