    You can get better stuff elsewhere anyways. Our wed is from Ikea, and it's evil (and cheaply made).

    It makes me sad that I can't register for IKEA. I love IKEA. In fact ALL of our furniture is from there (as well as our dishes), and we love it.

    I think that you could do a universal registry somewhere like Amazon, and add stuff that is on any site. I might try that to get more of the dishes we currently have. I have a cousin who is also an IKEA-ite and Im sure she will shop there for us anyway.

    Furniture we don't love from Ikea but when we lived in an apartment it was amazing! Especially since we knew we'd be upgrading soon and didn't need anything expensive. But your 100% right on about the dishes and stuff! We even use it at the restaurant I cook at! They never break or crack!! I'm glad someone else likes IKEA and want's a registry!

    occuring to an IKEA salesperson we talked to, the IKEA corporate board doesn't want to start a registry because they don't like the "message" it sends, or something like that. so it seems unlikely they will change their minds. too bad, cuz IKEA is awesome!

    I have been researching if IKEA has a registry service as well and found that they do have it in their Portland store only. I'm hoping they roll out this service in other stores soon so that I can register there. I've contacted them but they only said that for now it's just in Portland. Maybe if they get requests that people outside of Portland are interested they'll be more inclined to do it. So whoever is an IKEA fan start contacting IKEA ;)
