La Scala?

My fiance' and I are considering having our wedding and reception at La Scala in Dublin. Has anyone had a wedding or reception there or been to one there? How was the service? How was the food? Is there anything that you didn't like about it? Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks so much! :)

    I think there are 3-4 semi-active Knotties who have at least booked their receptions there, if they have't had their weddings already.  Maybe you can all powwow and come up with good ideas on decor, setup, etc.  If you search the board, I am sure you can find them :-)

    I have been to 2 receptions there (one in the big room, one in the smaller room) and a rehearsal dinner.  The food was awesome every time, and service seemed great.  At one reception and at the rehearsal dinner, I was in the bridal party, and I don't remember either bride mentioning any problems! 

    It would have been my first choice as a venue, but it was more cost-effective for FI and I to go with a venue where we could bring our own alcohol.  Otherwise I would have booked it in a heartbeat.

    My rehersal is going to be there.  We have already done our tasting and the food was great.  I have also been to a reception there and they seemed to do a great job.  The pricing is definitely not too high and would be a great place!  We thought about having our reception there but we have too many people for the smaller room (which is the one we loved) so that is why we went with our rehersal there!

    I am having my reception there in the venetian room and I cannot wait. They have been very great to work with so far and I have read nothing but good reviews on the place!

    we are having our reception there in October. The price is good (free room! who can beat that?) and the food is a decent price. The room is beautiful. Cathy (i think is her name) is nice so far, though I haven't had much communication with her since we just booked this month and we are so far away from the date. They did say they were booking up very quickly.

    Our reception will be in the front room there as well. I am so excited about it! The pricing is great compared to other venues I looked at (I visited at least 6 others). Cathy has been extremely helpful so far. Highly recommend even though our event is still months away!!
