Mint Bridesmaid dress

I am a BM in a wedding coming up in September. My friend has only told us that she wants us in mint dresses. The ones I have found and showed her aren't the right color. I would love it if you ladies had any suggestions. I would like to spend less than $100 (before any alterations). The dress also does not have to be a typical BM dress. It could be a sundress or shift dress, wedding is at a barn.

***Note to lurkers; you may think you're being kind by giving your BMs this much free reign but I will be honest and say that the other BMs and myself would have rather had more direction and her just tell us what to wear.

I will second this. I told my girls any dress in the same color from AA. When we went to try on dresses they all liked the same dress (different lengths) so that's what we went with. They kept asking me "what do you want us to wear?" and I kept saying "whatever you feel comfortable in"! When it came down to it, they just wanted more direction from me.

@beachyone15 I did something similar to you. I said I wanted them to wear the same color and fabric from Dessy. So far it has worked. It would have been easier if my friend had give us a brand.

Hm, I hope my request wasn't too vague. I just said a knee length dress any cut any fabric aside from shiny fabrics, in any shade of white, off white or beige.

How does she define "mint"? Minty blue, minty green? Pastel or something richer? That's one of those colors that's subject to SO much interpretation, I can see why it would give you issues!

@lolo883 More of a minty green. The color from those Target BM dresses is exactly the color she wants.

and yes, mint is hard to define. Now, navy...easy. Black...you got it.

ModCloth usually fits me really well, and their sizes seem more "normal" to me (i.e. a medium/8 is perfect for me from there, where some stores I need an ungodly high number). I like that they list reviews with people's measurements; that may give you a good idea.

I've ordered a couple dresses from them. One ran huge and one tiny - I ordered an extra small and a large respectively and they both fit well... Their customers are really good about writing reviews and size is one thing they evaluate. People also post pics so you can get a better idea. Definitely recommend taking a look before you buy.
