Photographer for around $1000.00....Do you know of one?

In the San Jose, CA area? I did post under my local board, but it doesn't look like it gets visited much, so I thought I would post here too. FI and I can only afford about $1000.00 for our wedding day photography. Can you recommend an affordable one in the San Jose area? TIA

    I have no recommendations. That is very low budget for my area (Ohio). I would suggest cutting costs elsewhere - favors, flowers, decor, etc., or trying craigslist or a college student. Just remember you get what you pay for... If photos are not a priority, then you should be able to get a few nice shots to hang on the wall and have for future generations to look at :)

    I agree with @photokitty....that seems really low, and I believe that San Jose is a high cost of living area?  Can you revisit your budget and find anywhere to cut?  Are you having a large wedding?  Can you cut the guest list down?  Skip or scale back centerpieces?  Buy a used dress?  If you post on the Budget board too, you might get some great ideas.  Good luck!
