Engagement Envy - Update

A few weeks ago I posted about my "engagement envy". Thank you, again, for all of your helpful advice - y'all are awesome.

I attended two different weddings within the last two weeks. They were beautiful, and of course I took note of some of their ideas for my own (who doesn't do that during weddings?), but I didn't let my engagement/marriage envy ruin the day for me. I kept a zipped lip to my BF about our future plan on the wedding days, and we had a lot of fun.

Thanks for easing my anxiety, ladies!

  • I'm glad you could enjoy your friends' weddings.

Do you have something to say? I don't mean to sound accusatory; it just sounds like you have something else you would like to say.

    Hi, @allusive007

Thank you for the response. I was just giving the ladies an update to the "Engagement Envy" post I made on May 31st. This update was in response to that post.

However, I suppose you bring up a great point.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would love to travel to Thailand. It is so different from the US, and I would love to learn more about the culture.

Are you a coffee or tea person?

I was a die hard coffee only gal until this past year. I got a really bad sore throat, and tea was the only thing that felt soothing. I have liked it ever since. So, it's a tie.

What is your favorite outdoor activity? (Running? - I know you mentioned that in your 'getting to know you' post)

I do enjoy running, and my BF and are beginning to get into kayaking!

What is your furbaby's name? Share a pic!

We have a puppy named Cooper! I will have to post some pictures later.

  • @justbeingme93 - I would love to see Thailand too. My mom and her travel buddy are actually planning to visit Thailand & Cambodia this year. I'm so jealous of her trips...she goes somewhere amazing almost every year! (Peru, Canada, Belize, Paris, Costa Rica, Croatia...)

I love kayaking too. I actually had a groupon for a group of friends to take kayaking lessons with me here in CO. no one enjoyed it but me. H and my friends are STILL giving me a hard time about it!

I'd love to see a pic of Cooper. Here's a pic or Remington (I call him Remi, he's totally my baby), and Kiki.

  • What @allusive007 said, along with the fact that you scolded us on someone else's BSC post just before posting your own "I'm totally not jealous anymore!"

Sorry if we've been jaded by BSC before. I vow to give you another chance.

I'm glad you enjoyed your friend's weddings!

What's your favorite guilty pleasure movie?
    What's your favorite holiday?
What's your favorite non-pet animal (or what animal would you have as a pet if you could)?
    Mountains or Ocean?
    Summer or Winter?
    Dessert - chocolate or fruit?

I suppose y'all have heard it all on these boards; I should have taken that into account.

Thank you for the second chance.

What's your favorite guilty pleasure movie?
Oh, this is totally random. I have no clue why I like this movie. I really enjoy watching Zombieland. My brother picked it out a long time ago, and I complained that I had to watch it. I ended up loving it. Which is funny..because it is totally not my typical style.

    What's your favorite holiday?
My favorite holiday is for sure Christmas. I love snow, hot chocolate, Christmas carols, the special services at church, getting dressed up to see relatives (however, i don't always enjoy seeing the relative i'm dressed up for lol), the amazing food, and our anniversary is a few days before Christmas.

What's your favorite non-pet animal (or what animal would you have as a pet if you could)?
I love elephants! They are absolutely beautiful, and I would totally have one as a pet if I could.

    Mountains or Ocean?
Ohh, that is a good question. I think mountains. I love being by the ocean and learning about it, but it also scares me.

    Summer or Winter?
This may sound silly, but I don't have a favorite season. I just really enjoy the beginning of each season.

    Dessert - chocolate or fruit?
    Chocolate!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure 90% of people love that movie as much as they do because of Bill Murray. . . There is a reason that all of the artsy t-shirts with his face on them were sold out when I went to get one for the BF for Christmas. Bill Murray is the shit.
  • @EisleyJoGo

I completely agree. He did make the movie worth watching.
