I came to a disturbing realization

Now that my head is shaved, I bear a strong resemblance to this very famous hot mess. I wonder if I can get a Las Vegas show now?

  • Just don't go punching holes into cars with an umbrella!

I don't think that will be an issue since I live in AZ and don't own an umbrella. LOL

  • Oh no, I def look more like Britney, especially since I put on 10lbs in prep for the chemo. It all went to my stomach and my face!! I'm going to go out on a limb and share my face. I can't believe I am sharing this awful look, but I need to own it!!
You are way prettier than Brittany.

  • You are crazy! You look nothing like that hot mess! I think you look good :)
  • You are so cute. Shut up. :) Keep on smiling! You will feel beautiful again :)

Get those soft little headbands with flowers on them. I used to work on a floor that did brain surgery (so lots of shaved heads) and all the ladies wore headbands or scarves. Most thought wigs were a little hot and itchy.

  • Thanks girls!

I just look in the mirror and see the color drained out, the extra chubby cheeks, and the patchy bald spots. But, that is me in the flesh, no make up or touch ups!

  • You're gorgeous!
  • You look fabulous! Not like cray-cray Brit. You definitely rock the buzzed look MUCH better than she does.
  • You are stunning!!
  • You look great! I admire you for your strength and grace through all of this.

  • Oh my gosh, you look wonderful!

I got no reason to lie.  You look beautiful, not just as someone going through chemo, but as a person in general.

  • You are so beautiful. When I see that face, I see strength and beauty and some hella awesome cheekbones. Not paleness or anything else bad. You're lovely.

I agree completely and Ink said it beautifully.
  • Thanks for making me feel better about being Britney!! :)

  • Definitely not Britney, you look amazing! I saw the photo and immediately thought this:

    You are beautiful!!
  • You look beautiful!

FWIW, my BF's mother battled breast cancer recently, and did a photo shoot (her best friend is a professional photographer) during chemo. She found bright pink boxing gloves and wore them during the shoot, and the pictures are the most inspiring ones I have ever seen. She owned those pictures, and her confidence went right back up after seeing how they turned out, and that she was indeed still gorgeous.

  • Girl, you are gorgeous!  And I agree with the awesome cheekbones!  Pure loveliness through and through!

  • I think you look great! Though I often like women with buzzed heads so maybe I'm not the most objective. But you really do look great!
And now is a great time to dye it hot pink! Or lime green, whatever strikes your fancy.
  • You look good! When I shaved my head, I rocked turbans, they're so cute.

You're beautiful! On an unrelated note, you popped into my head yesterday at the beginning of my yoga practice when the instructor asked us to set an intention or dedicate our practice that day to someone else. So it was you. I gave you a full hour of my love and light and strength and sweat and hard work and positive energy. Continuing to send you lots of love and light.

OMG! Thank you so much for thinking of me and sending me positive energy!! I'm in the hospital now for my second treatment and they upped my dose by 20% so I was told to expect more side effects. I need all of the energy and strength I can get :) (((hugs)))
