Chris Evans stars in this movie that went through hell to be released. The Weinstein brothers refused to release it saying it would make no money and the director sued him (or something similar I'm not spot on with that) and Chris fought it tooth and nail. So they just released in select theaters til I think Monday or Tuesday. I went and saw it yesterday. It was honestly one of the best movies I've ever seen and that is a big deal coming from me since I write about entertainment. It was the biggest mind warp. Just insane. I can't even begin to explain the oddity off it all. However I gave it two huge thumbs up. It stars Chris Evans, Octavia Spencer, Tilda Swinton and Ed Harris. Man, it's been 24 hours and I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it.

    Good to know! The last showing at our theater is tomorrow night and we were thinking of seeing it but FI feared it would be "too sci-FI" for me. I shall get on him to see it tomorrow night, even if it is at 10 PM!

    OMG-- you have solved a mystery for me.  My nail salon had this movie playing on silent with subtitles... and I could not figure out what the heck it was!  They must have had an illegal copy.  I think I saw the end of it and I have no idea really what I was watching.

    ETA: yep, just looked up the synopsis, and I saw about the last 10-15 minutes of the movie.  Guess now I've seen the end I should see the beginning now!

    JCbride2015 this makes me SO SAD. I can't believe they have a bootleg copy. Not because I'm against bootleg copies (I mean I guess I am but I'm certainly not calling cops or whatever) but because you ended up seeing the last 15 minutes of a freaking TRIPPY movie that ends in such a way as to ruin the entire rest of the movie. The ending kinda, I don't know how to explain it...through the whole movie you are going to be wondering IF there is an ending. Trust me when I tell you that will make sense when you are watching the F*cked up Wizard of Oz. 

    And YES go see it!

    I was reading reviews on that yesterday - I don't know if I can suspend disbelief and dumb questions like where do they get new clothes, etc. on a moving train?  I think we'll wait for it to hit Redbox.

    April if it matters, this isn't just any train. This train is like two miles long. So they have an entire textile section. Lol

    So I get the concept that whatever the train is made of protects everybody from the ice age outside.  But why does the train have to keep moving?  And who put it on a continuous loop around the world?

    ^ And who keeps fueling it up, and where do they get the fuel?  I was discussing this with FI last night, and he said obviously they use the poor people to fuel it.  lol
