Delivery of Gift Bags

How is everyone co-ordinating this? Our guests will be arriving all over the place - some before us, some after us... so just wondering how I get them their welcome bags. The options I have are:

Leave at hotel receptions - which is my preferred method - but do they actually get them??? Whats the tip for having them delivered to the room? Or do they get a note saying to pick it up from reception?

Give them out at the DDB bus tour when we first get there... problem here is that not everyone will be there as our wedding is a few days later.

What are your thoughts? Are the hotels reliable in getting them to people? Will they let the people know as they are checking in that there is something for them to collect??

Arrrgh! These are my biggest stress at the moment! I don't want to spend a heap of $$$ on them for them to be forgotten about behind the bell desk!

  • Hotels can have the bell desk deliver them, but they charge you per room.  I think the fee at Mirage was $4.50 per room, but it will depend on where you are staying.  The fee is annoying, but probably your best bet.  If you hand them out on the DDB some people might leave them if they are not heading back to their room right away. 

    Another idea would be to have a get together in your room and hand them out there so people can take them back to their rooms.

  • That sucks they charge for delivering the bags.  I'm afraid we'll have people at all kinds of hotels all over the strip.  I guess I'll have to employ some help for this one... to get them delivered.

  • I'm asking all guests to let us know their arrival time/day and hotel so that we know when to do guest bags. I am also recruiting my planner and bridal party to help get the bags to the hotels...I figure that is part of their job :)

  • thanks guys. seems there is no easy and cheap way to do this. Even if we know what hotel people are staying at... how will we know when they are in their room to deliver them?

    KTBabe... I had thought of that too.... if people go out afterwards, they may get lost/left behind.

    Wait! The bus does leave and return to our hotel... so maybe once we get off the bus we can make everyone wait around and we can go get them and give them out there... and keep those that people want to grab later? that might work....

    As for the people who are arriving after the DDB tour... grrr! Im sure we will see most people as they check in! Bloddy fine details... its so hard to co-ordinate!

  • I heard you can leave them at the desk so as they check-in they will get them.

  • My VIP manager has just said they can leave a note in the guests room to collect their bag from the Bell desk. So might try that too....
