Bridal Party Gifts

Hey Ladies,

I am starting to round up gifts for my bridal party and wanted to get your opinion on them so far....

They each got:

  •  Kate Spade chandelier earrings to wear the day of the wedding
  • Hendri Bendel earrings to wear everyday
  • Hangers with their names on them

I was planning to also include shawls for each since the wedding is in December & a Chanel nail polish (they all love getting their nails done).

I am getting my sister, who is the MOH another big gift, probably a MK watch since she is my sister and did mostly everythin with me.

 

Is this enough for them? Any suggestions on where to purchase shawls? Their dresses are a dark red so I was thinking a silver or white.

    This sounds nice, but I would encourage you to add something specific to each woman.  Would they all really like those same earrings-- do they actually have identical taste?  I know my BMs like very different things.  I don't know what I would do with a hanger with my name on it after the wedding (I assume you want these for pictures?) other than just use it in my closet like any other hanger.

    The gifts sound expensive and probably beautiful, but not so personal.  I'd consider what each BM would like individually and try to personalize the gift a bit more.

    My BM's had Jim Hjelm dresses, I got a sample of the fabric and was able to match it with a color  from David's Bridal & get Shawls there. They were thin chiffon shawls may be not best for December wedding though.

    Exactly this.  If you want them to have matching jewelry that's fine but that's not really a gift for them.  A personal gift is the way to go.  Shop for them like it's their birthday.  I got my girls their jewelry and a little something to go with it.  Ex: 1 of my BMs would never buy herself a nice bag.  I found a really good sale at the coach outlet and got her that in addition to a dunkin gift card.

    I was able to get 6 silver pashminas from the street vendors in NYC for $30.  Can't beat that.
