Fall wedding - alternative to the bolero jacket?

I am having a wedding in a semi-outdoor location (it's a barn) in fall in Vermont. The weather could be 80. Or it could be a cold, damp 35. I'm trying to plan ahead and have something warmish to wear, but I'm not seeing myself as a bolero sort of gal, and that seems to be 90% of what's out there.

Anyone have any recommendations on alternative jacket-ish ideas? Worst case scenario, I might just get an ivory pashmina and use that, but I was hoping for something a little bit more artistic/unique.

Pashminas are my thing. That's my plan.

I saw a winter bride wear a beautiful knit tan "coat" and it looked awesome. It's hard to describe though, and I don't have any pics

My MOH had an October wedding, so she had to plan for anything with weather. Sure enough, the temperature for the weekend dropped 30 degrees. She bought a plaid wrap that matched the navy ribbons and peacock feather trim she used elsewhere. She still wears the wrap often and she looked stunning. Pick something that's not a white fur shrug, etc. so you can enjoy it for years to come.

The dress is beautiful! I'm going with either a pashmina or a cardigan - also 9/27 in NY, 6:30 pm ceremony. Could be hot, could be freezing.

I'm planning to get a nice pashmina. I'll only be wearing it if it's really cold, and probably then only in between pictures and/or on the way to the limo. I'm leaning towards a sliver-gray color, since my dress is beaded with silver beading.

If more of the wedding was outdoors, I would consider getting more of a jacket. Personally I love the idea of a leather jacket, but would go for something lighter and more feminine than a "traditional" leather jacket...

First off, gorgeous dress! I've never seen diagonal tiers like that.

I think a nice cardigan in a color that coordinates with your theme would look great.

Any chance your MOH has the dimensions of her wrap? My fiance is Scottish and I would love to have something similar in his tartan as a wrap, and hers looks perfect!!

Ermehgerd number 10 looks so cozy! I normally like the ones like number 5 that look like they're part of the dress, rather than a shrug.

I really want to just snuggle up in 10 right now, even though it's 80+ outside!

That's my plan. Not kidding. I have a black motorcycle jacket that I've been obsessed with and have been wearing every chance I get for years. My wedding is in early May so....
