Car for Photo Tour?

Ok, I haven't booked a car for the photo tour yet. We have 2 ours of photo time... and there will be 7 people going (incl. Photogropher).

My question is... do I need the car? The only thing I think I will need it for is the Welcome to Vegas sign. Surely it would take just as long to walk between a few of the hotels to get photos then to drive?

Or is a car a must? I will prob just get one anyway... but would like your thoughts.

    It's 2 miles from Bellagio to the Welcome sign so it really depends on your guests and the time of the year.  If its 100 outside you'll be hot after walking for 30 minutes to the sign.  I would think you'd rather spend your time taking the photos rather than on getting from place to place?

    We hired Presidential Limo to take us around during the photo tour.  It was so convenient!  We rented an Escalade- we thought it might be easier to get around in than a limo.  The driver would drop us off at each location, and then go wait until we called him to come get us.  It saved a lot of time, plus we didn't have to walk around as much in the heat.

    @azwildcat, did you have to tell the driver the stops ahead of time?  We're doing a 2-hr. photo tour with Todd and I'm just now starting to call limo companies.  We want to rent an SUV as well but a few of them have asked me the number of stops and are making me give them an "itinerary" ahead of time.  What I'd really like is to just get in the car and see how it goes.  Friday afternoon will be heavy traffic on the Strip so I really don't know how many places we'll get to.  Did Presidential give you flexibility on how many stops you could do?

    @dbacksgirl - I just told Presidential that we needed the car for 3 hours and that we would be doing a photo tour.  No one ever said anything about the number of stops or needing an itinerary- I just scheduled pickup and drop off at our hotel.  We just told the driver where to take us once we were in the car.  I can't remember the driver's name, but he was really nice- we all had fun.

    I wouldn't walk so far.. What about if we don't have a driver? We wanted to get a fun classic car, which we would drive just the two of us and the photographer, would we have trouble finding parking somewhere for each stop? I am very unfamiliar with parking in Vegas..

    I wasn't going to walk to the sign!!! But was more if we didn't do the sign at all we could get away with a photos at a few of the central hotels (Bellagio, Paris, Flamingo, Cosmo, etc).

    We need to get 8 people around.. didn't really want a limo, but had to for that many people. So booked Presedential's 8 seater mini stretch escalade.

    They didn't need to know where we wanted to stop... just put on there that we would be going to the sign.. and that it was a photo tour.

    They also gave me the details of a rental company to organise a car seat to be dropped to them. Think its about $10.


    As azwildcat said... will save time being dropped at places instead of walking.

    I think it was $190 for 2 hours. I made the booking, but didn't get a reservation email... I keep meaning to email them but am too lazy :)
