He's 13, but with beagles, well, they're puppies for forever.
We've been tracking his cataracts for about...hm, five years now? Maybe a touch less. It was time for his annual, so we took him in. We commented to the vet that he's "hovering" around us a lot, really wanting to be next to us, sticking close when we're walking, etc. The vet looked at him and said his cataracts are really starting to get opaque and his vision might finally be starting to suffer a bit, so he's sticking close to hear and have some guidance. Poor guy.
Now, to train Zelda as his seeing eye dog.
