Roman Catholic/ Jewish wedding

My fiance is Jewish and I am Roman catholic. We just got engaged and want to get married in my Roman Catholic Church. He wants to know if he can wear his yarmulke for our ceremony? I don't believe he can wear it in a Roman Catholic Church and on the altar but does anyone have any views or experience with this?

wouldn't your officiating priest be the one to ask?

Ask the priest who will marry you.

Your priest is an invaluable font of knowledge when it comes to the "cans" and "cannots" of getting married in the RCC. A mixed marriage such as this one is not the first, and won't be the last - he'll give you the most accurate answer.

In general, men cannot have their heads covered in a Roman Catholic Church. However, there are exceptions to this rule. I would double check with your priest, but from what I've found, it looks like he probably can. This link doesn't mention weddings, but it does talk about wearing a yarmulke in church.
