Royal Blue for Spring wedding

So I have my heart set on royal blue as my main wedding color. However we are getting married in the spring. Fashion is not my strong suit but I have a feeling that a dark color is probably not ideal for spring. How tacky is it going to be to have royal blue wedding in April? Thanks everyone!

Not tacky at all - maybe lighten it up with some spring pastels?

I personally think that it doesn't matter when you get married, your colours are about you so don't let anyone tell you that you can't have a specific colour because its the "wrong season."

I used royal as part of my color scheme. I used light greens and lighter blues to keep it from being too dark.

Beautiful color, no matter what season. Like PPs have said, it's very easy to lighten up with other colors.

I used royal blue as one of the colors for our wedding this summer. As long as you pair it with some lighter colors, it will look great!

My colors are royal blue and silver, and in my entirely unbiased opinion royal blue is the best wedding color ever.

Go forth! I think royal blue is an all-season color. We got married in June - we did royal blue and pale yellows and peaches.
