What should I do with my extra sash belt??

When I tried on my dress the consultant couldn't find the actual sash that comes with the dress right away so I tried it on with a different one (just to get the idea)...turns out it was a happy accident because once she found the one that actually went with the dress I liked the other one better. I couldn't switch out the one it came with so I had to pay $200 for it but the dress is coming with the original as well. I might sell it to make up for the extra money I spent. Or should I take the consultants advice and use it somewhere else like around my flowers? What would you do??

  • If you can find a place for it, great, but realistically, you'll have a hard time selling the sash for anything close to what you paid for the other one.

  • If you're selling your dress after the wedding, keep it.  A bride who has seen stock photos of the dress will likely want the sash that came with it.  And if you are selling the dress, don't use it on flowers, etc. where it will get handled and dirty/damaged.
  • I'm wearing both of mine. The sash that came with my dress is plain on the front, but I loved the fluffy bow it tied into in the back (it makes my ass look like a present and I kinda love it, lol). But I fell in love with one with gorgeous beading on the front but a less pretty bow. So for the ceremony where everyone will be looking at my back and I'll have flowers covering the front, sash #1. Reception, sash #2.

My original sash is currently taking up space in the garment bag, which is probably what it will continue to do until I give it to my daughters to play with. I can't imagine anyone is going to want to buy it, and honestly, I'm too lazy to try to sell it anyway. My kids will love using it for dress up.
